Financial Basics Foundation
In 2002, Collection House identified the need for greater financial literacy amongst young people, and in doing so, embraced this issue by founding the Financial Basics Foundation.

Financial Basics Foundation is a registered charity established to help educate secondary students about the credit system and responsible financial management practices.

Support of the Financial Basics Foundation marries the altruistic and business goals of the company with the goals of the Foundation for greater community education and social innovation in the area of financial literacy. Collection House has committed $1.35 million and additional administrative and in-kind support toward this work since the Foundation's inception. Financial education is both a responsible and practical way that Collection House can support the community, and in particular, young Australians.
The Financial Basics Foundation has developed two financial literacy teaching resources - Operation Financial Literacy and ESSI Money. These programs are provided free of charge to Australian secondary schools.

To date, the Foundation' programs have been distributed to over 1540 Australian secondary schools and more than 50,000 students have used the resources. For more information about the Financial Basics Foundation and its programs, visit www.financialbasics.org.au
