Typical roles


The Group offers a variety of roles across our various businesses, including:

  1. Collections staff – Account Representatives, Team Leaders, Operations Managers, Hardship, Resolutions
  2. Support services – IT, finance, human resources, risk and compliance, data analytics, digital and programming, strategic projects, communications, marketing, administration
  3. Legal staff – paralegals, solicitors and support staff
  4. Finance and lending specialists – lending associates, credit risk assessors
  5. Training and development – learning and development specialists

The majority of our team are Account Representatives, entrusted by our clients to make contact with their customers and negotiate payment solutions.

The key skills needed by Account Representatives are customer service, the ability to develop rapport over the telephone and a high level of knowledge about the legal requirements and scope of debt recovery work.

Our in-house training program for our Account Representatives in debt recovery (and other technical skills) is intensive. This allows us to consider candidates from a range of backgrounds and to focus on cultural and value alignment. The ability to communicate clearly and negotiate calmly and respectfully with customers is key to success in an Account Representative role with Collection House.

The Group’s Learning and Development team tailor a range of programs to specific needs to each business area. In addition we are able to offer a Certificate III in Financial Services to all Account Representatives through our Registered Training Organisation, Collective Learning and Development (CLAD). This is offered at no cost to the employee.

We also offer a Leadership Academy for all levels of employees within the Group, from frontline Account Representatives through to senior management.
